AMPERE Raw dB Download

These data are the derived magnetic perturbations relative to Earth's main field that we use as input to the spherical harmonic fit and radial current density inversions. Many investigators need these `raw' data to conduct their own inversions and they are now provided in monthly zip archives of the daily NetCDF data files. An idl reader for these files is here. The uncertainties in these values are typically 70 nT rms but can sometimes be larger. We are presently working to improve the zero-level baselines for these data and revisions will be released when they are available. Thank you for your interest in AMPERE and please let us know about your study, your publications and presentations. We're always glad to help if you have any questions.
